Bio
Evi Kline writes about people questing their way through real life. She loves blurring both genre and gender lines, flipping tropes, and making Princess Bride jokes. The Good Girl’s Guide to Fantasy and Adventure is her debut novel.
Evi is a textbook Pisces who wrote a wry feminist retelling of Dracula in fourth grade--which tells you just about everything you need to know about her. When she’s not writing novels, she can be found in the theatre, working as a playwright and actor; or in a classroom, helping students make connections between unicorns, MLA citation, and empathy. She LARPed her way through high school and college (and still answers to the name Cheynar Stormkiller, Guildmaster of the Guild of the Lost Souls). She lives in the Berkshires with the snarky, precocious child she totally deserves.
A two-time Golden Heart ® finalist whose novels have also won the Fire and Ice and Molly contests. In another life, she earned an MFA from the Bennginton Writing Seminars and had a short story published in The Mind's Eye. She also has an essay published in Coming Out Together: Memoirs on the LGBTQ+ Experience from Open Air Press.
Evi is represented by Rena Rossner of the Deborah Harris Agency.
